First you need to ask yourself a very simple question. What in life is really free? Very open ended, I know. Almost impossible to answer, … unless your some incredibly ignorant narcissist, smart-ass, wannabe know it all, who’s mommy told him/her has all the god given answers in the world until … oh yeah, he/she doesn’t. Hate people like that. Unfortunately, there are more of them massacring courtesy, etiquette and intelligent civil conversations every day (*cough, cough Trump*) that most of us would like to admit. However, they could give you some ridiculously curt short answer that leaves more questions than answers, but think they have unlocked the mysteries of the universe.
Ok, enough dodging the questions at hand. Love is free, if you like abstractly defined things that change upon who’s definition you ask. I am doubting merriam-webster’s one size fits all definition covers it. Oh, yeah, smiles are free, even the fake, lip biting, insincere ones as wide as the niagra falls to prove you mean it. Yes, dear, that was a tremendous idea. Err… smile and wave, it will pass. Oh, ummm, ummm, absolution is free…. How about we skip that one, Salmon Rushdi lived under a death threat for a decade and frankly, I am not into pissing, that many, people off. Religion would be free if you believed in the writings of Saint Thomas Aquinas, but when they got together to decide on what was included in the bible and what shouldn’t be. Well, his thoughts on a where to find Jesus behind trees and under rocks didn’t go over very well with Catholicism needing you to tithe every week inside a church for saving your soul.
Realistically, there aren’t many things you can honestly chalk up that don’t have some catch or hook somewhere. It follows that old adage, the bill always comes due someday. Refer to Sir Isaac Newton, every action has an opposite but equal reaction. I wish it were a metaphor, but it real in more ways than one if you pay attention. We could debate this on and on for paragraphs but never come to a consensus. So, at this point I will believe what I have learned to believe and you believe whatever you want to, from what ever heretic, paganist, Republican or Democrat you learned it from for the agenda they set that you can’t see. If you don’t fall into that categorization, just skip it, it wasn’t meant to insult you.
So, now that you can’t pointedly, come up without anything in the universe that doesn’t have some cost to it somewhere (ie, real science, physics, etc, not religion made up beliefs, with minimalist foundations besides handed down stories, which seem to be exaggerated through history). Somehow, if they can prove that Jamaican zombie of voodoo are real, maybe Jesus was a zombie and they didn’t know how to explain it at the time? If we stick to reality, we know things like the internet need some basics, like electricity, some form of transport medium (copper, light, radio waves(which really are light anyway) and basically us to build it, maintain it and charge money for it. The last part is what really wrecks the Internet’s freedom, but we will get into that later. If the internet was built, like it was originally utilized by European scientists to pass research back and forth amongst them, there might still be some real altruism in it.
But with every great invention, greed and horrible people who get praised by other sycophants and shower themselves with praise (which morons repeat until ‘actual scholars correct them’) to the point that history gets written by idiots who don’t bother to get the facts. Case in point, Thomas Edison, did NOT create a many of his US Patented ideas. HE STOLE other inventors ideas that worked for him and patented them under his name. You can research that yourself or keep believing intentionally, mis-informative documentaries that repeat he was a great inventor and not a businessman thief. There are plenty of places that spell out how many patents have been removed from his credits, including many ones he tried to steal from Tesla and others. The internet is no different and only serves to get worse. MOST PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY GIVE UP WHEN THEY USE STUPID THINGS LIKE GOOGLE, AMAZON ALEXA and other devices that collect data on your life 24/7.
We won’t even get started on the deception campaigns led to lead people into believing mis-information without question like they true drone sheep they are. Like Trump said, “He admired Hitler because people just did what he said.” Even when it included summarily killing innocent people for any reason including not letting you rape them. Guess we know where Trump’s ideologies lie. The whole internet collection campaign, like Cambridge Analytica, used by the Republican party for Trumps election campaign to post individualized ads telling people what they wanted to believe on FakeBook (irony, with everything that stays on the internet, they couldn’t hold on to any of those ads on all of their servers world-wide that targeted people from stolen information from them because their “friend” took a quiz that allowed Cambridge Analytic to collect your profile without permission. Oh, yeah, TOS thing again. Why FakeBook isn’t paying BILLIONS of dollars like Google is in Europe for stealing people’s information. Nevermind, Equifax would have gone out of business because they let people breach their data for hundreds of millions of people (maybe they shouldn’t be in business if they are so careless with people’s information). Better yet, maybe they should be in jail.
Yeah, that’s not gonna happen, not while the Trumpster is sitting in, Musk got to raid, Social Security, the IRS tax database, security databases and nobody KNOWS where the DATA went or who it is being sold to? (Sounds like embezzlement on an impossibly grand scale, that no one is looking for). Well, the deception and unchecked facts are EXACTLY what the Trumpster doesn’t want anyone to do, he said so himself, multiple times. Media is scared to fact check him, so it is left up to people like me that call Bullshit on his lies. My biggest one lately, WHERE’S THE MONEY GOING? WHO’S WATCHING THE HEN HOUSE WHILE THE WOLF IS LIVING THERE? Pretty sure when this little coup tirade is all over, there will be a few treasonous ropes to argue about for a few years of why it is cruel and unusual to execute the orders of the Constitution based on the actions of traitor’s as a group campaign. The proof is being laid out day by day and only gets stronger.
I guess the benefits for having a cowardly, murderous, psychopath in the white house and at the “Department of Defense”, (maybe Petey should have stuck to the real name, calling it the Dept of War, just proves he is a war criminal); is that countries that leaned on American strength for so long and building their own because Putin’s plan didn’t count on them standing up. Ironically, Russia doesn’t want Ukraine talking to Europe for support or involvement, because it might actually be there absent the United States. So, Russia will have to devise a new Cyber campaign to weaken the United States in some other spectacularly fashioned, mis-information campaign, like Cambridge Analytica… Yep, saw that one coming. All of these side issues that directly impact and effect the main issue get crazy. But if you deny they are interconnected somehow, congrats, your over-simplification of life may work on simpletons who voted for Trump, but not critically minded or educated individuals.
So, back to the internet money game. The WHOLE thing boils down to psychologically suggesting things to you, to purchase based on your collected habits already. Then placers like google sell your data to companies which find Advertising streams marketed at you to buy things you may have a pre-determined inclination to purchase already. They label the data (YOU DON’T GET TO SEE A RED CENT FOR) R.O.I. Return On Investment advertising. If you think it is going to get better, you are sadly mistaken. AI will only collect it faster and will always be listening. If you put it on your phone, yeah, check your permissions and set it to only listen when the app is open. Yeah, because everyone does that, right?
Let’s face it, most old people don’t know how. Most middle aged people (hot mess there) they either don’t care, aren’t smart enough, or don’t think there is any harm in something spying on you ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. Wow, just wow, I work in IT and people I work with don’t bother checking app permissions on their phones and load stupid shit to their phones every day. Just wow. Even, supposed Cyber-security people…. just wow. Look at this cute app that gives me floppy dog ears and listens to me all day!!! OOOoooooh, I LOOOOooovveee IT!!!!
Millenials and GenZ, some are really sharp, but some are so apathetic, they makes sloths look highly motivated. I am sure there is going to need to be a GPS app that prevents them from getting struck by busses, cars or anything that moves that could kill them before they see it coming from having their head stuck in some place like Tik Tok. Which, by the way, is so successful in writing an algorithm that plays to your dopamine reward cycle, that I am sure there is a whole class of them that don’t need to worry about obesity because they never get off their phone to eat. A whole class of kids in the US are going to be looking like starving Etheopians from the 1980, that Unicef will start telling farmers in the US to stop sending food elsewhere and start feeding our own kids. Look, China wins… Their Tik Tok, actually educates kids and makes it fun, our hours and hours of stupid shit dumbing down a generation to Trump’s level.
So, all of these mixed, psychological attractions on the internet that “entertain” you, every damn xbox, every windows update, that can throw and ad on your screen even though you BOUGHT the computer and paid for the hardware, every apple device, samsung (who updates their Terms of Service every other damn day and you have to agree to it because there is no decine buttion), buy you paid over $1000 for each of these devices that get to spy on you in one way or another constantly collecting data…
No the internet is not free and it never will be if scumbags like these people get to delegate what rights you can and can not have base on their TERMS OF SERVICE…. GUESS WHAT? I have a TOS, too…. It’s very simple. I may have a little more saavy on the tech side, like I disable google play services and it complains every time I open anything google on my phone (they should be calling it google spying). Then someone requites you to agree to any TOS, by clicking “OK”… Contracts, legally, require signatures, so you can click OK, because someone named OK agreed to that, and that is not you. Whatever TOS they want to execute, they should check contract law out and figure out how and why “OK” is agreeing to everything.
In Europe, you get the option to decline, but because the United State of Corporations run the government and constantly chip away at people’s rights, every chance they get, until we get some Government representative like John F Kennedy back in office who actually had a pair and told people where to go, who didn’t want to be a Donald JDictator Trump, things will never get better.
So, no the internet can never be truly free, until greedy people are removed from authority positions… I heard the sickest one I have heard in a while today… The CEO of Bank of America said on CBS “if he had a nickel for every time someone said something negative about Bank of America, he would be rich.” Apparently, he has to go to the food pantry every week and probably gives away his double digit million dollar bonus every year to charity. His house isn’t somewhere that 99% of American’s could not afford. I guess he is in the 98% which makes him not rich, he just needs more money and he is gonna mansplain to the rest of us how we need to spend our money to stabilize the economy and deregulate things so banks can do more to help us stupid people.
Wow, maybe, just maybe, his private agenda to give banks more money to buy more government is exactly what we all need so we don’t have to have ANY rights anymore…. We will let thieves and traitors like him just keep running the show…. My answer, GTFO and take BoA with you…. Go park your azz in Europe and see how you fair with countries that have actual regulations that are being enforced. Shitting on Americans isn’t enough for dirtbags like him, letting him mansplain it to the common idiot because he isn’t getting enough money to get to that 98 to 99%, where, when he is rich, we all have made it. YAY!!!!
The internet is a web of a lot of un-verified, un-substantiated information put out there as the TRUTH. Err.. Like “Truth Social”, everything there is 100% real and you should believe every single ranting from that psychopathic lunatic. No, he doesn’t lie, he is the most tremendous, bestest, smartest, president with the best approval rating of any president in history. According to his delusions. HEY!!! FACT CHECK HIM!!! Nope, don’t do that, liars hate being faced with the truth about anything, even Haitian immigrants eating cats and dogs in Springfield, Ohio because gangs have taken over a whole city, which never made national news!!!! See, how bad the FAKE NEWS media is! Don’t blame them, even JD Vance missed that one, considering it was his state it happened in or maybe he was Trumps inside source? They completely missed that one! It’s TRUE, because Trump said it was! Still don’t believe the internet is full of unchecked bullshit, yet?
